MALVERN, PENNSYLVANIA, USA and SHANGHAI, CHINA - 2 August 2024 - Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) has announced a new series of AEC-Q200 certified thin film chip resistors, the CHA series, that provide high frequency performance up to 70 GHz for automotive, aerospace and avionics, and telecom applications. ---CHA series, these products for automotive, aerospace and avionics, telecommunication applications to provide high frequency performance up to 70 GHz. Vishay Sfernice CHA series in a compact 02016 package size, resistance values covering the range from 10 to 500.
The newly released devices have ultra-low internal reactance and perform close to pure resistors over a wide frequency range, with nearly flat Z/R curves up to 70 GHz. microwave resistors maintain high frequency stability even after the most stressful AEC-Q200 tests - verified by measurements of ΔR and Z/R - guaranteeing excellent performance in harsh environmental conditions.
The CHA family is ideally suited for applications such as automotive ADAS, LIDAR, connectivity, 4D radar systems, LEO satellite and space communication systems and telemetry systems, UAVs and RF antennas. For these applications, the devices offer a 30 V limiting voltage, a power rating of 30 mW at +70 C, and a temperature coefficient of 100 ppm/C, with 50 ppm/C available on request.
To shorten development time and reduce costs, parametric data for the devices is available for electronic simulation in addition to 3D models from Ansys HFSS, Modelithics Microwave Global Models?(PCB and pad extensions), and design kits. The resistors are RoHS compliant, halogen-free, Vishay Green, and come in a tape-and-reel package. The resistors are RoHS compliant, halogen free, meet Vishay Green standards, and are available in tape and reel packaging.
The CHA series is now available for sampling and is in volume production with a 20-week lead time.
