ON Semiconductor to Bring Innovative Portfolio of Intelligent Image Sensing Products to Vision China

SHANGHAI, China - July 1, 2024 - ONSEMI (NASDAQ: ON), a leader in intelligent power and smart perception technologies, will present its latest image perception technologies and solutions at Vision China 2024, a machine vision exhibition and seminar on machine vision technology and industrial applications, which will be held July 8-10 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. ON Semiconductor provides a rich portfolio of intelligent sensing products to drive the booming growth of smart home, augmented reality (AR)/virtual reality (VR), industrial automation, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT) and other applications. At Vision China, ON Semiconductor will showcase a series of innovative smart sensing solutions, including:


1. High-speed industrial inspection solutions

ON Semiconductor will demonstrate how its high-resolution, high-frame-rate global shutter sensors can support high-speed motion detection scenarios, reduce motion artefacts, and significantly improve imaging quality and detection efficiency.


2. Latest iTOF Motion Depth Sensing Solution

ON Semiconductor will demonstrate the industry's leading megapixel-level iTOF chip with its own depth calculation algorithm, featuring high frame rate, reduced motion artefacts, and excellent near-infrared quantum efficiency (NIR QE) response, which will provide superior imaging quality for industrial robotics, logistics and other fields.


3. Low-power camera solutions

Intelligent motion wake-up function, specially designed for scenarios requiring low power consumption, such as smart access control, security cameras, augmented reality (AR)/virtual reality (VR)/extended reality (XR) headset, machine vision and video conferencing applications.


4.8K Camera Solutions

ON Semiconductor will demonstrate a high-resolution 45MP programme projected 8K detailed images. The programme is based on a 3.2μm 45MP global exposure image sensor, in full resolution, 12bit can support a frame rate of 48 frames per second, running 8k video frame rate can reach 60 frames per second, very suitable for high-end photography and other applications.

 

5.20MP Industrial Inspection Solution

Smart ROI is one of the highlights of this solution: with on-chip scale and crop functions, it reduces the burden on the SOC or ISP side. The solution is based on 20M base pixels, which can be scaled and cropped on-chip, bringing users flexible and efficient resolution configuration, ROI region configuration and higher frame rate, and can achieve the simultaneous output of dual VC channels, making full use of the transmission bandwidth, which can satisfy the unique needs of AI, security and video conferencing.


6. NIR programme

This solution is based on a 2.0μm pixel size, 8MP back-illuminated stacked roll-off exposure image sensor. The enhanced near-infrared response enables high-quality imaging in the low-light and near-infrared bands, making it ideal for security, IOT, machine vision, and other applications.


7. Binocular stereo camera programme

Based on the Nvidia Jetson Orin platform binocular camera synchronised capture images to meet the needs of stereo vision image acquisition; the use of 2MP global shutter image sensor, very suitable for imaging fast moving objects. Even with short exposure times, images are sharp and clear with no ghosting or distortion. Meet the requirements of robot and drone scene applications.
